3rd ACAD Film Fest Preview!

I wish I could say that you will be able to catch the latest
episode of Uni-Farm but I cannot. You will be able to see some of my other
video work screening at the Globe Cinema in Calgary. Directed by Ryan
McClure Scott, shot by yours truly, and performed by talented folks of
Sleepkit, the music video for Constantinople is a smokey ABBA'esque...
something. Just watch.

Sleepkit Music Video - Constantinople

Despite what my partner in crime Ryan Scott might say, this music was a real challenge for me. I wasn't directing which it may come as a surprise is a real challenge to not step on toes. As the edit came to the end there was much agonizing and hand wringing watching the band watch the video. They were pleased which is all that matters and I really must thank them for the opportunity. Quite the brain muscle stretch.

I am bad at the internet

Welp this summer had a few opportunities for people to see Episode 2. Unfortunately I didn't make use of this handy soapbox to advertize. I'm dumb anyway big thanks go out to Truck Gallery and Shelley Ouellet's OIC Gallery formerly Carpet n' Toast Gallery. Jeremy Pavka at Truck geared us up in the middle of a park for a bike in Cinema, and Shelley Ouellet asked me if I would have a backyard screening to reopen her lovely OIC gallery to another hoard of people. I'm really feeling the calgary community love here.

Boardroom Forefathers Update

It has been a while since the performance and show at the Alberta Printmakers Society. I have been mostly making movies since then, but due to being so busy I hadn't had time to check my supplies of the prints that made their feature in that show and subsequently episode 1. It turns out I have only one full set of the boardroom forefathers prints left... read into that what you will. They go for about $400

Cereal Gen coverage on Global TV

I managed to find the one interview that happened out in Lethbridge when I was installing my part of the show. This is Scene and Heard with the local weather guy Mark Campbell.

University of Lethbridge: Cereal Gen

I am excited to announce that coming the 15th of September those of you who didn't get a chance to see Field Lab at the RedDeer Museum will get a chance to see it again at the University of Lethbridge Gallery. I was approached by Josephine Mills at the University a while back about putting in a show with Lyndal Osborne. This show is called Cereal Gen (Lyndal's idea I think)

This show runs from September 15th to October 24th
Opening Reception: September 15th from 4-6:00 pm

Uni-Farm: EP 1 Screening at the Plaza Theatre

As far as comments go, I am going to take it that the premier screening of Uni-Farm: Ep 1 Employee Misconduct has been a success. Just sitting in the audience that night and experiencing vicariously the delight of everyone present was re-affirming to say the least. It is of course a credit to all of the amazing talent both onscreen and off that it, well.. that it happened at all, most importantly my best friend Pamella Stewart. I would also like the profusely thank the very nice folks at Em/Media Production Society [Eric, Vicki, Tom, Shelly, Peter] for their financial assistance through the Bars n' tone program on this project, as well as their subsequent funders.
